Love, Courtship and Marriage Conference

It was a cold and snowy day but it was amazingly warm, not just because of Valentines Day but
because of our Lord’s very timely event. Hearts and Spirits were so much in tuned to the topics on
Love. Sis Cefress Manligas taught the “art of loving” followed by Pastor Abner de Guzman’s enjoyable
guidelines to Christian courtship and finally Pastor Elmer Fujiwara ends the conference by comically
imparting the highs and lows of marriage.
Each speaker gave an inspiring illustration, personal stories and advices on how to engage as Christians
the ways of our Lord in these L.C.M. Stages of our lives. It was a rewarding afternoon filled with God-
inspired information, praise and worship, special performances, fun & games and a lot of bonding
moments among the attendees from the different JCOB outreaches.
One of the highlights of the conference was the Open Forum wherein the single men, women and
married couples each formed their small groups. Each group discussed the different circumstances
they encounter and counseling was even given for each individual who raised a concern. It was truly a
remarkable God-filled time, short but definitely blessed! Thank you all C.Y.A. who attended the many
who helped in making the conference a success.
Finally, to God the author and perfecter of Love be all the glory and for moments like this where we
get the chance to appreciate the concept of love let us not forget about it’s very essence; our Lord
and His great love. “Immense in mercy and with an incredible love, He embraced us.” Ephesians 2:4
